VECTOR

Abrasive Flow Machining by Extrude Hone

Precision Deburring and Polishing System

The VECTOR Abrasive Flow Machining (AFM) system is capable of polishing and deburring precision parts in small to high-volume batch quantities for a wide range of applications in a reasonable space.

No question, that by the end of 2020, with 400+ VECTOR machines in 22 countries around the world, VECTOR is the best seller in its category.

Benefit now from the VECTOR legacy product’s latest iteration.

VECTOR FEATURES and BENEFITS

AUTOFLOW™ Advanced Control for maximum process control

The ability to control flow rate, temperature, and viscosity also improves the abrasive media’s life span.

Media Temperature Management

Controlling the temperature of the abrasive media gives a more consistent machining rate.

Intuitive Operator interface

State-of-the-art control system for operation, monitoring, setup, and maintenance with 12” Touch screen interface. Enables saving multiple processing parameters as required for ease of use and quick recall in manufacturing multiple customer parts.

Multiple options to increase productivity

Swing arms, hydraulic or manual ones, and manual tooling carts are the options that help with heavy fixture handling.

VERSATILE AFM MACHINE

VECTOR is used for polishing, deburring, micro-deburring and radiusing applications.

Polishing extrusion dies for aluminum or plastic profiles is undoubtedly the best-known application using VECTOR’s capabilities.

But that’s not all: VECTOR is capable of mass-volume production of AFM, such as solenoid valves, in the fuel systems industry. It processes millions of parts annually in an almost fully automated setup, including a blow station and cleaning unit.

This is why VECTOR is used in various industries, including aerospace, semiconductors, medicine, energy, and fuel systems.

The VECTOR series abrasive flow machine offers a wide range of processing capacities, with a selection of backing roll diameters ranging from full-pressure 100 mm models to lower-pressure 300 mm versions.

We use support cylinder kits so customers can easily reconfigure their machine size at a later stage if necessary.

The comfortable workspace has an opening of 495 mm, a width of 900 mm, and a depth of 500 mm, while the table height is 1050 mm. Four rails are mounted on the tabletop for ease of operation, making it easier to slide fixtures in and out.
